Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs full name Steven Paul Jobs was an American businessman, American investor, entrepreneur, business magnate, and media proprietor. Steve made a company that is most successful today and every person knows about this which is Apple.

Who was Steve?

  • Steve was also the chairman and CEO of NeXT.

  • Chairman and shareholder of Pixar(a subsidiary of Walt Disney Studios, owned by Walt Disney)

Early life and childhood:

When he was born his biological parents, Abdul Fattah Jandali and Joanne Carole Schieble have no choice they thought that they can’t handle the responsibility for the baby. They put the baby up for adoption. His biological parents are immigrants and too young to take responsibility. The working couple Paul and Clara Jobs take the Steve. Afterward, Steve was raised by his adoptive parents in Silicon Valley in California.

Education:

Steve is a genius and bright kid but he was bullied at school so he likes to spend his time alone. In that school, he was bullied by others so hard that he want to transfer to a new school. In that school, he saw his first computer at the age of 12. Jobs called HP founder Bill Hewlett to ask for the electronic part of a school project. He took his electronic classes. He is a smart kid but he doesn’t like the school learning process. He loves to like it in unconventional ways. He wasn’t a bad student wasn’t good he is average. Hewlett was impressed with Steve jobs so much that he offered jobs a summer internship. He never enjoyed the classes at school. When going to college he dropped out after the first semester. He continued taking the classes that he enjoys him. He loves calligraphy. He once said:

"If I had never dropped in on that single calligraphy course in college, the Mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts."

It is the hardest period he didn’t have a place to live he slept on the floor of his friend’s room and returned a glass bottle to buy food. He got one job in a video game manufacturing company name Atari as a technician. He headed to India with his friends for spiritual enlightenment.
They stayed in India for about 7 months and traveled in buses and local transport between Delhi, UP, and Himachal Pradesh. He dived into a spiritual quest of discovering his higher self and also practicing meditation. In India, he studied eastern religion and completely transformed into a person he shaves his head and wears traditional Indian clothes. Jobs didn't end his experiment there. He then turned to psychedelic drugs for further exploration of the mind. He described taking LSD as "one of the two or three most important things” he had done in his life.
He practices Zen Buddhism and lives in his parent's backyard. Jobs and his father work on electronic equipment in the garage. His father sees him how to take part and reconstruct electronics. Steve Jobs and his friend Steve Wozniak founded Apple in his garage. After 10 years apple had grown from just two people to a 2 billion-dollar company. The path to excellence started in his family’s garage.

How Apple Company was started?

Steve and his friend wanted to make a company that can change the way how people use computers it should be present in their homes and offices. On April 1, 1976, Steve Jobs and Wozniak started a company and the name of the company is apple. The first headquarters of apple was in Steve jobs father’s garage.

The first product of Apple Company:

They funded their entrepreneurial venture by Jobs selling his V.W. Microbus and Wozniak selling his HP-65 calculator for US$500. The first product of Apple Company was Apple I. This first product was designed by Wozniak and was entirely hand-built. It is also known as the apple computer. This product was sold with a monitor, keyboard, and casing. In July 1976 this first product went on sale and sold around 175 units in 10 months. Wozniak had thought of a series of user-friendly personal computers, and with Jobs in charge of the marketing sector of the company, they marketed the computer for $666.66 each. Then after three years of Apple’s second model, the Apple II, the company’s sales increased by 700 percent to $139 million.
In 1980, the product became a publicly-traded company and comprised a value of $1.2 billion. In 1983 Wozniak left Apple due to a drop in his interest in the operation of these Apple computers. After that, the jobs asked the marketing expert John Sculley of Pepsi-Cola to hold the position of CEO of apple. This new CEO uses different strategies for business growth. However, the several next products of this company experienced negative feedback in the market. Later IBM surpassed apple sales.
In 1984 apple release its Macintosh touch computer but sales didn’t increase and it is not compatible with IBM. Later in 1985 jobs was pushed by his own company. He left the company.
Jobs began new hardware and software named NeXT. In 1996 Apple Company face huge financial loss and this brand floundered in its attempt to sell its operating system to the public. In 1997, Jobs returned to Apple and came back with a new management team. In the same year, apple company acquired NeXT company.
Due to jobs, the company came back on its track. The product iMac gained mostly positive reviews from customers.
Many competitors of Apple struggled to produce similar products and then apple becomes the face of technology.
In 1986, jobs purchased the animation company from George Lucas and the brand name is Pixar animation studio. Steve jobs invest almost 5 million dollars in this company. Later the studio became popular by producing many animation movies like toy story, finding Nemo, and many others.

First iPod:

This is the second most successful product of Apple Company after the iPhone. The first iPod was released in 2001. This product had two versions of 5 G.B and 10 G.B that can contain 1000 and 2000 songs respectively. It has 1.8-inch display with 32 MB RAM. Apple has sold more than 400 million iPods.

First iPhone:

This is the most successful product of Apple Company. The first iPhone was launched in 2007, with a 4 G.B of storage, 128 MB RAM, 2.0-megapixel rear camera, with a processor speed of 412 Mhz, and with a 3.5-inch display. The first iPhone had a price of $499.

First iPad:

The first iPad was launched in 2010 and this was also the evolution of tablets. This device comes up with a 9.7-inch diagonal, 256 G.B RAM, 16, 32, or 64 GB flash memory, and no camera. So the price of this product lies with storage memory iPad of 16 G.B was $499, of 32 G.B was $599 and of 64 G.B was $699. After other products like mini and pro variants of the iPad were launched. Steve Jobs is regarded as a marketing genius by many. They made the apple products a status symbol for the next generation.

Why company named is Apple?

Steve jobs love apples. About this Steve Wozniak had once said,
“I remember I was driving Steve Jobs back from the airport along Highway 85. Steve was coming back from a visit to Oregon to a place he called an “apple orchard.” It was some commune. Steve suggested a name – Apple Computer.”
The basic reason for this name is that Steve come up with this name after working a few months on an apple orchard they later said,
“After trying to think of better and more technical names, both Jobs and I realized that Apple was a good fit”
