Later Career:

Oprah Winfrey expanded her career beyond her talk show by establishing Harpo Productions, which produced films, television shows, magazines, books, and podcasts. The Women of Brewster Place (1989), Beloved (1998), The Color Purple (2005), Precious (2009), Selma (2014), Greenleaf (2016-2020), The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks (2017), A Wrinkle in Time (2018), The Oprah Conversation (2020-present), and The Me You Can't See (2021) are some of her projects. She also acted in some of these projects, receiving critical acclaim and nominations for awards.
In 2011, she also launched her own cable channel, the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), which featured programs on health, wellness, spirituality, and culture.
