Henry Ford was an industrialist and business magnate. He was also the founder of Ford Motor Company and the chief developer of the assembly line technique of mass production. Henry Ford was born on 30 July 1863 on a farm in spring wells township Michigan. He spent his childhood in a rural farmhouse. His father was a farmer and his mother was a housewife.
He spent his childhood around machinery but he don’t have any interest in farm work he instead he was interested in engineering. When he was 12 he was inspired by a steam engine and then at this age, he had a dream to make a horseless carriage because at that time cars without horses were not come and also only a few people had steam engine machines. Once when he was a teenager his father give me a pocket watch. After the repairs timepieces in his friend's house and neighbors house at the age of 15. When he was in his teens he gained a reputation as a watch repairman.
In 1876 his mother died and his father was destroyed due to his wife's death. Henry Ford attended a one-room school for about eight when he was not helping with his father on the farm. In 1879 When he was 16 he left his home and move to Detroit to find a job in machine shops.
After three years, during which he came in contact with the internal combustion engine for the first time, he returned to the farm, where he worked part-time for the Westinghouse Engine Company. He works for about one year in this company. In 1888 henry ford married Clara Bryant Ford. They both grow up on farms. In 1893 henry ford become a chief engineer at the main Detroit Edison Company plant and his responsibility was to maintain an electric service in the city 24 hours a day. In the same year, he started work on gasoline engines and completed his work at the end of 1893. By 1896 he made a horseless carriage called ford Quadricycle.

In 1896 henry ford attended a meeting of Edison executives. Later he introduced himself to Edison and later inspired by Edison he made his second vehicle in 1898. Later henry ford resigned from Edison Company.
On August 5 1899 he founded Detroit Automobile Company. However, the automobiles produced were of a lower quality and higher price than Ford wanted. The company was not successful and was dissolved in January 1901. With the help of C. Harold Wills, Ford designed henry ford built and then successfully raced a 26-horsepower automobile in October 1901. Later he left this company and this company was renamed Cadillac Automobile Company.
In 1902 henry ford made a racing car with 80 plus horsepower called “999”. Ford go to work in designing an inexpensive automobile and later he made a contract with a factory and contracted with a machine shop owned by John and Horace E. Dodge to supply over $160,000 in parts. Sales were slow, and a crisis arose when the Dodge brothers demanded payment for their first shipment.
Due to this Malcomson bought another group of investors and try to convince the dodge that they accept the portion of the new company. Then the company ford motor was made on June 16, 1903. The original investors of this company are Ford and Malcomson, the Dodge brothers, Malcomson's uncle John S. Gray, Malcolmson's secretary James Couzens, and two of Malcomson's lawyers, John W. Anderson and Horace Rackham.
Due to ford Gray was elected president of the company. Ford then demonstrated a newly designed car on the ice of Lake St. Clair, driving 1 mile (1.6 km) in 39.4 seconds and setting a new land speed record at 91.3 miles per hour.
Convinced by this success, race driver Barney Oldfield, took the car around the country, making the Ford brand known throughout the United States. Ford also was one of the early backers of the Indianapolis 500. In the same year when ford launched the company, he launched the first car Model A. In 1904 second year he launched Model B. In the next year he launched model c and in 1905 he launched Model F. In 1906 he launched Model N and in 1908 he launched Model S. In this year he also launched Model K. They set the price of the next model a little higher than model a but still his cars selling yearly didn’t increase.
Henry ford's main goal was to make the type of car with good quality and lower price so every American can afford it. Due to disappointing sales in previous models, he see the features of all the previous models and made his new model called model T.
In 1908 he launched his Model F and after some time of launching its became most successful. This was due to lower price and good quality. Later he decided to produce the Model T more. Model T was a type of car that was only available in black but still, it was the most successful model of 20 century.
He was also the author of some books some of them are: “My Life and Work”, “Edison As I Know Him”, “Today And Tomorrow”, “Quotations of Henry Ford”, “My Philosophy of Industry”. Henry Ford died at his residence, Fair Lane Estate in Dearborn, at 11:40 pm on Monday, April 7, 1947. He was 83 years olds when he died due to cerebral hemorrhage.
