James Eugene Carrey is a Canadian actor, comedian, writer, and producer. In 1990 he gained recognition 1990 after playing a role in sketch comedy television series in living colors. He is also famous for his slapstick performance. In 1994 he gained population as a star when he played a role in movies Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Mask, and Dumb and Dumber. In 1995 he worked in 1995 Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, Batman Forever. He also played a role in Liar Liar in 1997.
He was born on January 17, 1962, in the Toronto suburb of Newmarket, Ontario, Canada. Percy Carrey his father was a musician and accountant. He has three older siblings. When he was in school he don’t have friends.
Carrey spent his early years of education in the borough of Scarborough in Ontario part of Metropolitan Toronto, where he attended Blessed Trinity Catholic Elementary School in North York.
When he was 8 he stand in front of the mirror and then this time he found his talent for making funny expressions. He also had undiagnosed dyslexic and also struggles with studies. Later he discovered his ability that he can make people laugh.
When he was ten years old he wrote a letter to Carol Burnett of the Carol Burnett Show in that letter he tell about his ability of expressions and he hopes to get discovered.
When he was 12 years old he and his family were homeless and then at that time they couldn’t afford the home so they lived in the Volkswagen van. His mom got depression and she struggled and his family try to support her. When they were teenagers Jim and his brother spent months living in a tent in Charles Daley Park on the Lake Ontario shore in Lincoln, Ontario.
His family struggles financially and then their situation start to improve once his father found employment in the accounting department at the Titan Wheels tire factory in Scarborough. Then at that time, the family started living in the house across the street. At this point, Jim and his brother john start worked as security guards at the tire factory to support their family. Jim was 15 years olds. They do work for 8 hours from 6 pm to the next morning.
He began his comedy in downtown Toronto and besides comedy, he also continue and manage his work at the factory. In his one interview he once said:
"If my career in show business hadn't panned out I would probably be working today in Hamilton, Ontario, at the Dofasco steel mill."

His first local public performance was not successful but he didn’t lose hope. He stands up as a comedian and his father helps him. At first, he works in yuk yuk’s comedy club. His father drives him to downtown Toronto. Once he had a performance in The Dean Martin Celebrity Roast show and his mother choose a leisure suit for him. Later his family's financial conditions condition improved and they moved to a new home in Jackson’s Point.

In 1979 he was able to live as a comedian so he left his job as a security guard. In 1978 he wrote most of his own material as an opening act of Buddy Hackett and Rodney Dangerfield.
Later he headed to West Hollywood to pursue his dreams of becoming an actor. Jim Carrey first starred and work in a television movie introducing Janet.
In 1987 he move to Los angles. While living in America it’s harder for him to make money in the first few years and almost give up.
In his one interview, he says that when he was not so famous he would drive to the top of Mulholland Drive in LA every night. He said that he visualize himself as an actor. He also worked in The Duck Factory (1984). In the next years, he made his feature film Finders Keepers, which was followed by a leading role in the film Once Bitten (1985). Jim Carrey also played a role in Earth Girl Are Easy (1988). After his Jim Carrey: Unnatural Act (1991) he received positive reviews and led to do a regular role on the television sketch comedy series.
In 1992 once Carrey write a check of 10 million dollars. He dated the check as three years and put that check into his wallet and he was unaware of the fact that his dream which comes true soon.
In 1994 he played a lead role in the film “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective” this film become famous. After this film, he gained more fame. He surprised the film industry with his sudden rise to fame. There are many predations about Jim Carrey that he will no longer in Hollywood. He proved everyone wrong.
With the time his fans increase and in ‘Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, ‘The Cable Guy’ and ‘Liar Liar’ he earn over $100 million. His comic has been widely appreciated by most people all around the world making him one of the finest comedian’s world cinema also.
Jim Carrey's life was not perfect he also living in poverty but he didn’t lose hope and make his dream come true.
In 2013, Carrey published his first book, a children's story. In 2020, Carrey published his first novel, Memoirs, and Misinformation.
