Eric D Thomas was an American motivational speaker. He is also an author, consultant, and minister. His motivational speeches are also famous on YouTube. Eric Thomas is also the reason behind many people's success. Eric Thomas is also added in that successful businessmen which are homeless and then struggles and became successful. Today most people are waiting to hear the words of Eric Thomas.
Eric Thomas was born on 3 September 1970 in Chicago, Illinois, USA, and grow up in Detroit, Michigan. Thomas was born to a single teenage mother and when he was born his biological father didn’t come into his life. He didn’t even know about his father until he was 12. At the age of 12, he find out that the man who raised him was not his biological father. When he realized about his father he was not happy anymore. He once said:
“I went to school angry,” he says. “I was on the block angry, and because of that anger, I made some really crazy decisions. I just want to catch every 12 or 13-year-old and say it’s okay that your old dude wasn’t in your life.”
After discovering the truth about his family he argued with his parents and aunt and then dropped out of his high school without graduating. Later he moved to the streets of Detroit and then at this time he was just a homeless teenager and he was homeless for about two years.
In the meantime, Eric Thomas met a preacher and that preacher change his life. He inspired him to go back to school and complete his education.
“He really just spoke life into me at a time when I was lost,” Thomas said. “He told me I had an untapped gift that if tapped into, would save lives!”
After being inspired by the preacher he again joined his school from basic and then. During this time he took a job at the olive garden on the Westside of Detroit.
Eric Thomas spend twelve years at Oakwood University and working toward an ungraduated degree and in 2001 he graduated with a degree in arts. After graduating from Oakwood. In 2003 Thomas took a fellowship at Michigan State University to complete his master's in K-12 Administration with an emphasis in Educational Leadership.
He worked as an academic adviser to disadvantaged students at MSU. At Michigan, he continues inspiring other people and he also inspires the students to stay on track with their studies.
In 2005, Thomas graduated from Michigan with his Masters but continued to study for his Ph.D. at the University until 2015.

Later Thomas continues to motivate the people. Thomas founded a company to offer education consulting, executive coaching, and athletic development. Thomas has given motivational talks to collegiate and professional athletes.

Eric Thomas inspired a lot of people. He also gives motivational speeches and talks on various platforms. Many businessmen want him to inspire and motivated them. Thomas also trying to inspire drug dealers and single-parent mothers to continue their educations and find a way out of the financial crisis. He also motivates the younger generation to complete their education and get ahead.
In 2011 Eric Thomas was invited by fox news for an interview in this interview he talk about his profession and the number of people Eric Thomas influenced.
Once when Thomas give his speech at the Michigan university he said the line:
“When you want to succeed as bad as you wanna breathe then you will be successful.”
One tech-savvy student want to record it and then later the video was uploaded to YouTube and the video got up to 6 million views and this time eric Thomas become a star in one night.
On December 30, 2008, he made a YouTube channel and start posting motivational videos. Today he had 1.25 million subscribers and 1,211 videos. After YouTube, he quickly began picking up his clients most of the clients were athletes. One of his first gigs was speaking to the high school All-Americans at the 2012 Jordan Brand Classic.
He also has his own website name ETIinspire this website contains some of his great work and he also has been nominated for many awards at several organizations.
He also has been honored by several institutions for motiving young people.
Eric Thomas is married to Dede Moseley. They first met when they both were in college. They married each other when they were college students. Today Eric Thomas's net worth is almost 6 million dollars. Their lots of lessons which we can take from his life and his speech and one of them is that if we are tired of something (specially work) we should learn to rest not quit that.
